 Mountains

alright, Im trying to make mountains. Theres not to many good examples unfortunatly. Mostly, 3D games use
a. walls with mountain pictures on them, which looks bad
b. cones, which also looks bad

I can make very good rocks, but if I increase the size, it only makes them into huge circles... So anyone have any mountain models/3d3 or any suggestions on codes about how to make them? I want them to ATLEAST look like these:

Mountains like the ones by the river, which look like depp hills are good, but not the kind in the far distance, since you cant walk up to those...

this gmk can make some nice looking terrain just by drawing a height map. white is highest and black is lowest use blur to make gray and fill in everything else. its loading time is awful because it has to generate the terrain every time the game is run, but you could save the model to a file and load it later into your game. you would have to change some code around.

ok this is one opinion, but I was looking for something like a object, where you click it down and then it draws it...

look at the code. look at the sprite thats 128x128, u can erase it and draw new terrain, then put some code in to save the model it makes. done. any mountain u want.
