Snow Example

This is an example I've put together for creating snow. The example demonstates a snow engine using a loop to draw the particles. The performance is very good.

download format: GM6

(it looks a little crappy on the screenshot, but it looks great in motion)

Awesome! Could you do rain? Also, do you have any ideas for making darkness that is penetrated by a camp fire. The only thing I can think of is setting the fog to a greater distance when you are near a fire. But I really haven't thought about it Laughing

If you want rain, change the snow model to a line and let them fall faster. As for penetrating the darkness, I would make a wall with the direction equally the the camera's so the wall is visible at all time. Now, when the player moves away, this particle will get bigger. If you use some sort of light texture it will give a nice effect.
