 Texturing obj. Files

Remmber those gun models that slayer made? Well, gun8 looks really cool, and Im thinking about using it as a gun in a practice game Im making, but its not textured... How would I texture it? I tried applying a background to it, but it still stayed white.

Does the model have an UV map?

no i don't think i have a UV map/texture/bitmap for it.

You're going to need one and learn how to make them if you want to make textured models. I suggest: UV Mapper. The UV coordinates define the textures coordinates, and are very crucial.

WTF THAT IS MY GUN WHY IS SLAYER GETTING CREDIT THE GUN YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT "Gun8" is my GUN!!!!!!!!! DONT GIVE HIM CREDIT WHEN HE NEVER DID ANYTHING TO IT!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL hi watever742. i can make a texture for u guilty sparks. i learned UV Mapper and i can make a map for the gun and u can just 'color' it in Very Happy or maybe u already know how to use it by following the tutorial on th GMC. if u need help i can help.

im not editing the model watever. im supplying the good people with FREEWARE! yay. who doesn't love it. and if u say im an ass for giving away your models well then just think about all the free stuff you got for game maker. its only fair to share. hey was that a rhyme? i wish i could do that all the time.

On the other hand, the models are pretty much useless without texture so I don't understand what all the fuss is about.
